World Leprosy Day

World Leprosy Day is one day set aside each year to create a torrent of prayer and support for those affected by leprosy.

This is the 60th Anniversary of this rally of compassion across Canada and the world. Together, our gifts create lasting impact on those suffering from leprosy, as well as their families and communities.

Please take a moment today to pray for these children, women and men. Then read through the Leprosy Mission’s web site to learn more about this horrific disease so you can tell others that leprosy exists and is a very real threat around the world.

Finally, send your support to help those with leprosy. On average, it costs just $33 a month to cure and care for one person with leprosy each year. If you’re able, that care can be shared today with a gift of $396. Each gift helps to restore someone’s life through medical care, education, community rehabilitation and so much more.

In 2014, World Leprosy Day will be taking place on Sunday, January 26th. To sign up your church to participate, please call our office at 1-888-537-7679 or email us at info@leprosy.ca

Thank you for your participation in World Leprosy Day. Leprosy is a horrific disease and the fight is an extremely difficult one. But together, we can win the war against leprosy.

Many Canadian churches have agreed to partner with TLMC and be a part of World Leprosy Day year after year. Visit the Ongoing Supporters page to see a list of these churches.
